Each fall, South Texas Maize at Graff 7A Ranch in Hondo, Texas proudly honors the hometown heroes who serve our communities with special Heroes Appreciation Weekends, offering complimentary admission on select dates as our way of saying thank you for your service.
Who Qualifies for Heroes Appreciation Admission?
We proudly welcome hometown heroes including active duty military, retired career military, veterans, firefighters, police officers, Border Patrol, EMS personnel, Registered Nurses (RN), Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN), and teachers.
Eligible heroes receive complimentary admission for themselves, their spouse, and up to three dependent children under age 18 living in the same household. Valid identification must be presented at onsite admissions upon arrival to receive this special offer.

Fridays: Oct. 2 & 9 Saturdays: Sept. 19, 26, Oct. 3, & 10 Sundays: Sept. 20, 27, Oct. 4 & 11
Mon., Columbus Day, Oct. 12 (10 am-5pm)
Friday 6 – 9pm (ONLY in October, grounds close at 10:00pm)
Saturday 10am – 9pm (grounds close at 10:00pm)
Sunday Noon-5pm (grounds close at 6:00pm)
We are cashless! We will accept credit, debit, and some forms of digital payment.
Admission tickets, for folks who do not qualify for the Heroes special, are available at the admissions area upon arrival.
