Frequently Asked Questions About South Texas Maize
Do I need to buy tickets online?
Nope! Tickets for South Texas Maize are available only when you arrive at our admissions area. We are not selling admission tickets online. This gives families more flexibility when planning around South Texas weather and keeps the arrival process simple and efficient. Just come on out during our posted hours, purchase admission at the ranch, and head in for the fun.
Why aren’t tickets sold online?
Because Texas weather likes to keep folks guessing. By selling tickets at the ranch families don’t have to worry about online ticket changes, weather disruptions, or refund headaches if conditions force schedule adjustments. It keeps things simple for everyone.
Will you reach capacity and sell out of tickets?
Nope! We’ve got plenty of room. One of the perks of visiting a real ranch is wide-open space. Graff 7A Ranch is designed to welcome lots of families without feeling overcrowded. Since general admission tickets are sold onsite when you arrive at our admissions area, there’s no need to stress about tickets selling out in advance—just come on out and enjoy the fun.
Are you cashless on weekends?
Yes—South Texas Maize operates cashless on weekends for faster, smoother service. We accept major credit and debit cards for admission, food, drinks, pumpkins, attractions, and other purchases throughout South Texas Maize. Can I bring my dog?
Yes! Well-behaved dogs are welcome at South Texas Maize. Please keep your dog on a leash, clean up after your dog, & make sure your dog is comfortable in a fun family environment.
What happens if it rains?
Because we are a working ranch and outdoor attraction, weather matters. If heavy rain makes parking or grounds conditions unsafe, we may close temporarily. If weather looks questionable, please call us, 830-741-3968, before heading to Hondo.
Are refunds available if weather poses a problem?
Because tickets are purchased at the ranch upon arrival, weather-related ticket refund issues are greatly reduced. If severe weather affects operations after your arrival, our team will advise guests based on the situation that day.
What should we wear?
Dress like you’re headed outdoors. We recommend you wear comfortable walking shoes, weather appropriate clothing, closed toe shoes and sunscreen if visiting during the day. This is a real ranch, not a concrete amusement park. Expect dirt, grass, open spaces, and lots of fresh air.
