Tips

Drinking Water:
Teachers, please be sure you provide your students with plenty of drinking water. Our water supply is not potable, however, we have bottled water for sale.

Facilities:
The South Texas MAiZE has bathrooms with hand washing facilities.

Food:
Picnic areas are available on a first-come/first-served basis. Not all food concessions are available on field trip days, however, you are welcome to bring a sack lunch.

Clothing:
Please dress as if you are going camping. No sandals or open toed shoes.

Safety:
This is an ALL OUTDOOR ACTIVITY. Please check your student’s records for “bee” sting allergies. There will also be hay bales for the students to sit on and play on, so please check on any allergies pertaining to hay straw. If a student has an allergy, the student must bring appropriate medication. We will not administer or distribute any type of medication. We have on site a minor emergency first aid kit.

Weather:
Please call before departing for the maze if you think weather may pose a problem.
